Rochelle Webb Rebelling FOR The Underdog Entrepreneur

Rochelle Webb is the CEO and Founder of Optimist Made, a business built on Rochelle’s desire to bring opportunity to designers all over the world. She is the Clinical Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Marketing at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. After working in the marketing world for brands such as Activision and Quiksilver, Rochelle has since made her journey into entrepreneurship. Through Optimist Made, Rochelle acts as an accelerator for fashion designers, giving them a platform to be seen by the world and supporting their success.

Rochelle joins me today to explore what it means to be an underdog and why she’s rebelling for the underdog entrepreneur. She describes how she transitioned from her marketing career in corporate America to the entrepreneur that she is today. She illustrates the struggles of women of color in business and entrepreneurship and discusses how Optimist Made stimulates what she calls the “underdog economy.” She also shares real stories of hard work, diligence, and hustle from the designers she helps, and highlights the importance of turning fear into action.

“We are all struggling on some level with something and you sometimes just need someone else to be your advocate.” – Rochelle Webb
